Budget Dining at A Poolside Haven in Marriott Singapore Pool Grill Restaurant

Located at the 5th floor of the hotel, this al-fresco restaurant overlooks a stunning view of the hotel's pool and is especially mesmerizing once the beautiful night-lights came on.
As its nearer to the year end festive season, the christmas lights up from the neighboring malls add a dramatic variation to the night view, giving the ambience an intimate romantic oomph.



While dining, the diners can have a choice to be seated on the usual dining table or can simply opt for the elevated bar chairs.

For the budget conscious foodies, you will be totally pleased to know that the Pool Grill restaurant offers one of the most value for money 3-course gourmet Set Dinner in town at just $48++ per person.

Before the dinner commences, the bread served had set an impressive starting note. The bread is in the right softness and crisp that you will, without doubt go for a 2nd or 3rd servings of it.
Recommendation: Taste perfectly well in the Balsamic Vinegar & Olive Oil dip


The Starters
Soup of The Day: Onion Soup, with the right amount of savory taste 

Pool Grill Caesar Salad with distinct Anchovy Dressing & Parmesan Cheese.

The chef adds a little variation to the usual Caesar Salad with the use of anchovy dressing which is not too overpowering and works wonders with the fresh, crunchy Romaine Lettuce. 
If you are a fan of this saltwater forage fish, the Caesar Salad is definitely an ideal choice for you.

Duck Liver & Foie Gras Parfait served with Mini Crostini & Fig 

Among all the starters, the above comes highly recommended by personal preference. 
The savory Duck Liver & Foie Gras Parfait is a divine taste match with the toasted italian mini Crostini and for an added depth to the taste buds, do spread a dash of the nectarine candied fig onto the Crostini.
As the parfait comes in a generous portion, this starter is great for sharing as well. 
Side tip: If you still have some of the bread left (the one that was served before the starters), you can spread the parfait on it too and the combination tasted equally superb as well. 



The Mains
Pan Roasted Butterfish with Cauliflower Puree in Shiraz Reduction Sauce

The butterfish is well-cooked with a slight crisp and tender texture. When dip into the creamy cauliflower puree with a tinge of the Shiraz fragrant boost, the butterfish transformed into a gastronomical delight.

Braised Boneless Beef Short Rib in Artichoke Puree, Confit Garlic & Salsa Verdi

The beef are braised to perfection in which the meat is so soft that it literally melts in your mouth. 
The taste are further intensified all thanks to the Salsa Verdi with the heavenly mix of the aromatic herbs, giving the dish an added distinct ambrosial flavor.
  
Roast Chicken Breast in Sweetcorn Puree & Salsa Verdi with Confit Garlic

The chicken breast meat is well roasted to a precise consistency, totally palatable with the Salsa Verdi & the mild saccharine taste of the sweetcorn puree.


The Desserts
Cheese Board of Artisanal Cheeses with Home-made Nut Confit & Quince Paste

Great choice for the avid cheese lovers as this cheese board offers a lavish portion of different remarkable european cheeses.
For a varied taste intensity, have it with the soft jellylike texture of the quince paste & the sweet nut confit.

Vanilla Creme Brulee in Fresh Berries Coulis

This signature dessert comes highly recommended for those with an absolute sweet tooth. 
The vanilla cream portion of the Creme Brulee is heavenly smooth & velvety. The caramelized crust is of comfortable thickness as well.


Do pair the desserts with the restaurant's signature mocktails for an additional tangy and refreshing vibe to the meal.
